My grandpa was actually a dentist and I grew up around dentistry. My mom’s a hygienist. And I worked summers in my grandfather’s office since I was about 10 years old filing papers and helping with sterile and just kind of getting to know the dental office. And as I grew up, I looked at how his career was and his flexibility, how he interacted with his patients.

And it was something that I always was interested in going into healthcare, but just the flexibility with the career, I’m a mom of almost two children and it’s just a great career to be able to balance your family with treating patients with the best care possible. I saw how he interacted with everyone around him and it made me want to go into dentistry. Being able to be there for patients during their big milestones and building that trust alongside my career. So having seen them through weddings and graduations and even funerals, it’s an awesome way to build relationships with patients.

I love coming to work every day, and I think that is true for all of our team. So we’re very excited to be here and we hope that you’re just as excited to be here. We treat you with respect and we’re excited for anyone walking through our door.

Meet Dr. Kellie Kawasaki

Building Lasting Patient Relationships

Dentistry runs in Dr. Kellie Kawasaki's family. She spent her childhood helping out in her grandfather's dental office, watching him work with precision and genuine care for every patient he treated. That experience left a lasting impression. The family atmosphere, the attention to detail, and the relationships her grandfather built with his patients inspired her to follow the same path. She brings that same energy and passion to Sisters Dental every day.

Dr. Kawasaki competed as a volleyball player at the University of Oregon, where she majored in general science. She then earned her dental degree from Oregon Health & Science University, graduating with honors. After gaining experience in a large group practice, she was ready for a close-knit office where she could build real, lasting relationships with her patients. Sisters Dental turned out to be exactly that. Dr. Kawasaki is a member of the American Dental Association, the Oregon Dental Association, and the Central Oregon Dental Society.

A lifelong Oregonian, Dr. Kawasaki and her husband, Kyle, chose central Oregon as home for its incredible outdoor lifestyle. When she's not in the office, you'll find her on the volleyball court or golf course, hitting the ski slopes, trail running, or paddleboarding on the area's lakes and rivers. She often takes their Australian shepherd, Sophie, along for the adventure.
