This office, to me, this dental practice just feels warm and inviting. It kind of fits in with the community around here too. It’s just the environment that I like, and this dental office continues to provide that environment that I like for me. When Dr. Kawasaki is telling me the next step she’s going to do, it does ease my mind. I do have some anxiety when coming into the dentist’s office. You don’t know what’s going to transpire. Is there going to be a cavity this time or what, you know? But with her talking to me and… You know, we laugh and we carry on and we have serious conversations too about what’s going on in my mouth.
Quality of care is excellent. I don’t have anything negative to say about it, honestly. And, you know, I walk in, I get my service done, I walk out, I’m happy. Happy coming in, happy leaving, you know? You walk in the door to this practice, and they greet you by your name. They know who you are before you even walk in. It’s awesome.

I trust the people here. They are very understanding. They listen extremely well, and I can say, “Hey, this doesn’t feel right,” or “This hurts,” or “My bite isn’t good,” and it’s all taken care of. I just love the energy and the happiness of everybody. I’ve never said I love my dentists, but I do now. I love Dr. Trevor and his whole group. It’s just so comfortable. I first came to him when he was in a big house around the corner here, and it was basically him and I think a hygienist. I just felt so comfortable immediately. I love coming to this practice because I was a little concerned I had moved to Sisters from the East Coast. And I moved from a big city and was concerned about what am I going to find here as far as skills and talent with dental care. Just couldn’t be more satisfied with the team here and their expertise and how they care for their patients. All the technical skill is here, they have all the equipment, all the modern technology that you’re looking at in a place, but it takes more than that. It takes more than just having the tools.

And then in the back, Trevor and Kellie have just been awesome people to work on my teeth and do Botox for me. It’s just a really comfortable and easygoing place to come and get your teeth worked on. Scheduling department, Rihanna does a wonderful job. She texts you, she calls you, she makes sure everything’s scheduled.
Then you come in and Bev is pretty much on top of it all the time with the billing and how much stuff’s gonna cost and what you’re gonna have to do to, you know, make your next appointment in terms of, you know, a crown or a fitting, or teeth cleaning. So everything’s pretty smooth in here. It works really well. This place is so wonderful to come to. I have Trevor Frideres’s initials on one of my crowns. That’s how much I like coming here. He is a great guy to be around. He’s funny, high fives, just outgoing. You know, we always sit back and laugh. We’re cracking jokes. But really, he understands, you know, the dentistry and has a really good manner for, you know, the business, too.

At Sisters Dental, I find the hygienist to be extremely personable. I have had the same person helping me with my teeth cleaning and giving me advice for many, many years here. I have always found good quality dental care, both from the hygienist and also from the dentist. I’ve been coming to Sisters Dental since before 2000. It has always been a family practice for me and my family. And I’ve just really enjoyed coming to the same office with the very consistent people that are here.
I will say Dr. Frideres is very disarming, made me comfortable from the moment I met him. And then Dr. Kellie has seen me several times and she seems very efficient and direct, and very easy to work with. I would say it’s a very high quality of care. The practice being able to identify what they can do, refer out what they can, and assist patients as they go through whatever process they need to go through. I would say give Sisters Dental a try, see if you like them. Very easy to work with, with scheduling, and I find the front-end staff to be exceptional. So give them a shot.

My reasoning for doing Invisalign was my retainer broke during COVID shutdown, and I had moved 1,500 miles away from my orthodontist. And so my teeth decided they were going to go in all kinds of different, opposite directions. That day, when they told me they were doing it, I put my deposit down for it, and I was in Invisalign for maybe nine months, I think. Everything went perfect. Everything was awesome. I mean, Invisalign was so much easier than regular braces.
I was a little hesitant and nervous about it in the beginning because of the pain that you go through when you first get the metal braces on, you know, so I was anticipating all of that. And my first set of trays that I put in, I’m like, “Okay, tomorrow’s going to be bad because my teeth are moving. Can already feel it.” And it wasn’t, and I was shocked. I was surprised.
Invisalign was so easy, so much easier. You can’t see it, so you’re not as self-conscious of having Invisalign on your teeth as you would be for having metal braces. So if somebody was interested in doing Invisalign but didn’t know if they wanted to go that route or maybe go, you know, with the metal, I would suggest doing Invisalign. It’s so much easier. You’re going to love it so much more, and it’s just as fast as, if not faster, to straighten your teeth with the Invisalign.

I lived for years with partial dentures. They were awkward. You’d sit at a table with people and try to take them out and not be very obtrusive. Then you have to chew differently and don’t smile, don’t show everybody as you bite into something that, “Hey, look at my teeth. They’re gone.”
And the ability to know that I can chew as much as I should for my intestinal health is important, an extended process. When I was kept informed how things were coming and how the implants were seated and doing… And any issue that came up after the procedure of installing the implants, “How’s it going?”

And it was small, like I said, but moving over here, and the pictures that are on the ceiling are so relaxing. There’s always music playing, it’s relaxing. I know that they’ll take care of me, you know, that I won’t feel a thing. If you’re looking for new dentists, if you’re new to the area, this is where you wanna come, trust me.
Over the years, my smile had deteriorated. My teeth had shifted a little bit. I was noticing more of a color variance. I had a broken tooth that needed to be addressed. And I also had a very gummy smile. I’ve always had a very gummy smile, and I wanted to just refine my smile. Dr. Frideres presented me with this overall scope of work and identified all of the issues with my smile.
And he was the one that pointed out that I had some massive erosion going on that we needed to address and suggested that we do this as a larger project instead of just focusing on a couple of teeth. The level of thoroughness and professionalism, I’ve not encountered with any dentist in the past, and I’ve been to a few dentists over my lifetime. And it was just extensive and incredible. It was a lengthy process, but I think, in part, that was because I’m kind of particular. And I had an end goal that I was trying to achieve, and he worked with me. And we kept making those necessary adjustments to get my smile to what I was happy with.
I think Dr. Frideres makes it extremely easy. So does the staff. They’re all very welcoming and supportive. As I was having my work done, they were all checking in on me, asking how the process was going, telling me it looked amazing, and just encouraging the entire way. And I don’t know, to me, the smile is your greatest asset, so it’s worth it. I know that there are options. If you are afraid of dental work, I didn’t have to go that route, but it’s something worth exploring.

But they made me very confident about going on this journey, which we are halfway through now. Just with what has been done already, I am so thrilled that I’ve done it and satisfied as well.
They’ve also been very helpful as far as trying to walk me through the financial process so that I can make this viable for me to do based on my economic situation. The dental implants for my condition, especially in one portion of my mouth, is complicated. We weren’t even sure that we were going to be able to make it work. And they have tirelessly been working towards this and making me comfortable and giving me hope that we’re going to have a positive outcome, which I know we will. And we’re on the road to that now.
For getting dental implants and selecting Sisters Dental, I highly recommend it. I believe that they will not just hold your hand through it. My crowns were done upwards of 30 years ago. They were porcelain. I came in here. Trevor suggested that I did gold. It’s much easier on your body when you get older. You can drill through it. You can do root canals, and you don’t have to pull the crown off. And then I was able to get all my crowns and my bridge personalized with whatever I wanted on it. So that was very unique, and Trevor made everything just seamless.
So when I came in and I started on my first crown, I have five crowns now and a bridge that I’ve had done here. You come in, you’re scheduled, you know, they numb you up. They’ll come in, they’ll test you to make sure everything’s numb. They ask you constantly throughout, getting your teeth worked on if you’re feeling okay, if everything’s working. It’s just wonderful. I mean, it’s just easy. I would highly recommend coming here. You will not be disappointed.

I didn’t know and nobody told me. So I was referred to Dr. Trevor by the person who makes the veneers. So I came in here and the person that made the veneers told me that he would not lead me wrong. And I came in and I had all kinds of scans and tests done that I had not gotten done in the previous dental office.
And he told me why my veneers kept coming off and that they should never come off. And he put them back on. He has made it so I feel so comfortable and I never worry. And he sat down and told me exactly what to expect, what I needed, what we needed to do. We talked about a plan. He asked me what I was comfortable with. The second he started talking to me, my anxiety went away. He really talked to me like I was on the level and treated me as just another great…you know, family member in his case. He explains everything he’s doing while he’s doing it. And you don’t have any questions. You walk out knowing exactly what you just got and it feels better.

Before I got veneers, I honestly, I had teeth that I feel like weren’t normal compared to everyone else’s, which can be hard because when you’re smiling in pictures or just in general, it’s like you’re looking at everyone else and it’s a problem that no one thinks about having. It was kind of just frustrating, honestly, to have people be, like, “Oh, well, it’s fine, it’s just a smile, it doesn’t matter.” But the majority of people didn’t have to deal with knowing that, like, there wasn’t anything that could fix it. I felt before, knowing that I could get veneers, it’s just, like, “I’m just gonna have to live with this and cope with this.” So I’d change how I would do everything.
I wouldn’t smile with my teeth. I wouldn’t… When I was talking to people, try and show them that much or even, like, anything to do with having to, like, express my smile, I’d say. We kind of sat down, had a conversation, and they really fully took perspectives from all sides of how I could approach my smile and what I wanted from it. We looked at some other options of just doing two of the teeth and he went through everything. And we put it on everything and he was, like, “How do you feel about this?”

Let’s look at all sides,” and made that environment comfortable enough for me to express how I was feeling about them. I was in need of a crown to take care of a filling. I was offered the choice to either get a porcelain or a gold crown. It’s stunning. It was well done. My bite didn’t change at all. It’s been comfortable from the get-go. The whole experience was fantastic, and I’m quite proud of my crown. Prior to getting the crown, all of the options were explained to me very clearly.

I had the dental crowns because of cracked teeth. Crowns have been great and the procedure to get a crown entails quite a bit of wiggling down the tooth that is there. It’s always good to know how things are progressing through a procedure like receiving a crown and what timing is involved and the next steps. Being informed of what’s happening and going to happen is important for me. They’ve worked. I have no issue right now. I can sit here and say that honestly. My mouth is fine. The atmosphere, the skill, the knowledge, the professionalism of everybody here. I’ve seen different work with different people. A very comfortable feeling. It’s a feeling of being able to trust them. They are doing their best for me and that’s a very good feeling.
JOAN R.: So with the crowns, I had oral sedation and I really didn’t remember anything, which was so good, so good, and I brought cookies the next day because I was embarrassed about how I might have acted. I don’t know what caused it, of course, but I’ve had a number of root canals. I have some years left to live and I intend to have them with teeth in my mouth. And the procedures here, including root canal, was very easy. Everybody cared for my well-being during the procedure. It’s great. I have no issues. I come in here and I expect to have teeth for a long time yet. That’s a very nice feeling that I can trust this practice to ensure that my teeth will be around for me.

Well, as a kid, I’d had braces for five years. I had a large, brilliant smile. I was complimented on it often over the years, but I just saw it diminishing with the discoloration. So I wanted to regain that confidence I had about my smile. The preparation just was so extremely thorough and detailed. So I’ve never been one to love to see myself on film, in photos, but now I love seeing my smile in photos. I have a spectacular smile. I couldn’t be more proud of it.
I had always had a specific part of my mouth that was a real challenge and I had had a bridge in there since I was very young. Because that bridge had been in there for so long, I had a lot of deterioration of my bone when we went in to assess it. Because of the deterioration and the extreme loss of bone, Dr. Trevor did a bone graft. It went very well and it is what enabled us to go forward and actually have the implant done. The process for the bone graft was easier than I actually expected it to be and the healing went fairly well.
Dr. Trevor had prepared me for what I’d be in for. So I think since I wasn’t surprised at all and I was prepared for it emotionally, mentally, it went well and it healed very well, I think better than I had expected to. There was a transition period and an adjustment period with the implants that you have to expect. But once again, because I was well informed and well educated about the procedure, I was very comfortable with it, and I’m just thrilled. I’m so glad I had it done, and it’s well worth it. I was in here, Trevor looked at me and said that I looked like I was getting a little older and he wanted to help me out. He offered Botox, and I went ahead and said that’s fine. So I’ve had a couple series of Botox, and it’s working out. My wife even loves it. Basically, once you sit in a chair, Trevor comes over, he talks to you about, you know, how he’s going to do it, where he’s going to inject in your face and on the side of your eyes.
And just, he’s really knowledgeable in, you know, the muscle structure of the face. I would recommend to anybody that wants to get in and get Botox done to come in here. It’s very easy. All my life I have been told to get my wisdom teeth out and I have been fighting it all the time. Honestly, my teeth have not moved. I have been able to deal with them. Dr. Trevor has never told me to take out my wisdom teeth. He gave me every option, and then I asked him if he could give me an option where I don’t have to take out my teeth. And he said yes we can do a Gingivectomy where it’s just taking out a little bit of the skin and that will expose the tooth and he did it and there’s zero problems.
I have had no problems. He gave me an option. I did not have to go under the knife. I did not have to get my teeth taken out and every time I come in for a cleaning now it comes out perfect. I have not had any issues. I felt heard and I immediately felt less anxious. And it was definitely something that I was going to do. The fact that he listened and came up with a plan that was less invasive and we were going to try that and it worked was incredible.
