A lot of times when we do implants, there are multiple steps that may need to be done to help support those implants. So that can mean bone grafting, that can mean sinus lifts. All of these procedures or bone augmentations, all of these procedures are really done to give back what we lost from a missing tooth.
With the sinus lift, we have to go into the sinus and put some bone into that area so the implant has a strong, stable base to be used. Sometimes we need to add width to the ridge of someone’s mouth so that we can get a dental implant in there. If it’s too thin, we can’t put an implant into that space. So there’s a lot of different surgical grafting techniques that we can use, and we do them all the time here at our office if you ever need a service like that.
