I took a lot of career paths before I found dentistry. I went to undergrad thinking that I wanted to go into medicine, and so I started taking all the pre-medical classes. A class came available for me to do an introduction to dentistry that I had never thought about before and I thought I would hate it. I didn’t like saliva and I… But I thought it was interesting to try so I did the introduction to medicine part. And it was almost, like, a collision of everything that I loved about medicine and health care.
It allowed me to do medicine and health care, it allowed me to have a lot of patient interaction. And it allowed me to stay away from insurance companies if I wanted to or run my own business if I wanted to and make things how I wanted to do it rather than have to let somebody else tell me how to do it. And that really just stuck with me. And I wanted to just keep going and keep going and take it to the next level so I applied to dental school, got in, and haven’t turned my back on it since.
I love to get to know people. I love to hear their stories. I love to know what brings them in, what makes them happy and how I can potentially impact that relationship, and how they feel outside of the dental office or even inside the dental office. They can come into our office and not feel judged in any way and they can be themselves, they can be nervous if they want to be nervous, they can be excited if they want to be excited and that, you know, I took the time to listen to them and empathize with them or, you know, give them a hug if they’re having a rough day.
That relationship part is probably what’s gonna, you know, give me the biggest smile at the end of my career when that time happens. We’re a warm, excited group of people who really care about you and want to hear your story and want you to be yourselves. Dr. Trevor Frideres Values Patient Relationships
Caring for patients at Sisters Dental has become one of the great joys of Dr. Trever Frideres’ life. He is passionate about dentistry and being a part of the Sisters community. Building relationships with patients, many of whom have become friends, is the highlight of each day.
Dr. Frideres grew up in Helena, MT, where he learned to love the mountains and all types of outdoor activities. He attended college at Montana State University and graduated with degrees in cell biology and neuroscience. He first came to Oregon to earn his Doctor of Dental Medicine at Oregon Health and Science University and live near family in the Pacific Northwest.
As a National Health Service Corps Scholar, Dr. Frideres spent his first four years practicing dentistry in rural Washington. He then accepted a position as an associate in a private practice in central Oregon before achieving his lifelong dream of practice ownership at Sisters Dental.
Dr. Frideres is an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Oregon Dental Association, and the Central Oregon Dental Society.
When not in the office you may find him telemark skiing or playing ice hockey in winter, fishing and rafting in the summer, or hiking and camping with his wife Kylie.

On my second day of vacation I was fishing on the Metolius River outside of Sister’s OR. I was 500 miles from home, and my jaw started aching. Two days later I went to Sister’s Dental. without an appointment and in a lot of pain. They were very busy, but, they made room for me. Two hours later I was out and pain free. I have been pain free since. I can’t remember for sure what my Dentists name is, but he was the only dentist in that day. He was one of the best dentists I have ever had in my 66 years. The staff was awesome too. The dental assistant and the front desk all treated me like a king and helped me get back to my vacation. Thank you Sister’s Dehtal..

From walking into the front door and being greeted by the two friendly women at the front desk until I walked out the same door an hour later, I had such a positive experience at Sisters Dental. Each member of their staff makes you feel valued. Their new office is beautiful with a feeling of bringing the outside in with windows that look out on beautiful peaceful garden areas and gorgeous photos on their walls of incredible scenery. Ashley the dental hygienist, was efficient, knowledgeable and skilled all the while making me feel comfortable. The cleaning of my teeth was made even more comfortable with the video of beautiful scenery being played above my chair. I felt totally safe during my visit with all the procedures in place to prevent infection during the Covid 19 pandemic. I can’t say enough about the positive experience I had at Sisters Dental during my August 2020 appointment.

The key to a great relationship with your dentist is one of trust and honesty. Dr. Frideres and the staff at Sisters Dental treat you like family. They are professionals who take the time to talk to you and ensure that you understand your treatment. Dr. Frideres is a genuine artist who takes pride is his work and will ‘do it over’ to make it right if necessary. For that he earns style points from me. He has a great sense of humor and is quick to help. My advice is to make Sisters Dental the ‘Go To’ dental practice for your care.

I have had severe dental anxiety for the last decade or so, like in tears sitting in the chair anxiety. I hadn’t been to the dentist in 7 years and was terrified for my first visit but knew I needed to get some work done and take care of myself.
When I came in for my first consultation, Dr. Trevor and his team were so comforting and took the time to listen to my fears around teeth sensitivity. After an initial consultation and cleaning, I had to get two fillings and two crowns done. Yikes! Dr. Trevor and his team took their team and checked in with me throughout the whole prcedure.
At my appointment to get my permanent crowns on, I felt a bit of discomfort/pain that set off the waterworks. Dr.Trevor came in, helped calm me down, made sure I was numbed up and couldn’t feel anything to complete the crowns.
If you’re looking for a personable team who is patient-centered, caring, and takes your concerns/fears to heart, then I would HIGHLY recommend Sisters Dental. Best dental experience I have ever had.

This place is AWESOME!! They always step up when issues arise. My husband was waiting for a crown and was in bad pain. They got him in early and took care of the issue.
