Root canals get a bad name a lot of the time in dentistry, and nobody loves doing the root canal. But, you know, it’s one of those services where you can keep your tooth and get out of pain very quickly. So we use it in a way here at the office where if anybody’s in pain or discomfort and we want to try and save that tooth, getting the patient numb, making them feel comfortable, and completing the root canal will help get you out of the pain that you came in here with.
We can also use root canals to help prevent pain. So sometimes we have infections or issues that are happening that we see there’s going to be a problem before there’s already a problem. So sometimes, we proactively do root canals to take care of a problem and prevent pain from coming.
